Who We Are
Founded by a passionate team of meteorology enthusiasts and data scientists, Summersnowday was built to solve a simple problem: the uncertainty of winter weather and school closures. We understand that waiting until 5 AM to know if you have to go to school or work is stressful. That's why we created a platform that predicts school closures days in advance with high accuracy.
Our platform processes real-time weather data from NOAA, Weather.gov, and Environment Canada, passing it through our proprietary machine-learning algorithm that considers temperature, snowfall, wind chill, and regional school closure thresholds.
